Swara Mountain Arts Festival launched by Jagori Rural is a vision to create a space for artistic uprising. Bringing artists to co-create a web of vibrations in different art forms. The Festival brought extraordinary artists together creating a web of multiple creative art forms. The theme of the year was curated by the One Billion Rising’s international campaign to Rise for the safety of women’s bodies (rainbow identities) and the safety of the Earth. OBR is a global campaign founded by Eve Ensler to end violence against women. Eve, known as V, is an American performer, feminist, activist & playwright popular for The Vagina Monologues. The four day festival, held from May 28th to June 1st, 2022, aimed to create the joy of music, dance, art & overall wellbeing for the collective consciousness to rise. Curated by Jagori Rural, Swara Mountain Arts Festival was a combination of residential workshops, nature walks & experiences, sound & movement meditations, evening performances &; celebrations, and a platform to exploring local community food, art & culture.
